Hi fellow reefers,
I work for a skin care products company, and the water filtration system consists of 5 microns sediment filters, carbon filters, mixed bed DI fitter, 2.5 micron filters and finally UV filter, this water has 0 TDS reading and a pH between 5.35 to 6.20.

Now is it ok to use this water in my tank even not having RO membranes?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I think with a 0 TDS it matters not how it got there.

Should be fine.

You will be fine :)
The ph differences you are seeing are from dissolved co2. Neutral water has nothing to buffer the water so small amounts of atmospheric co2 will show quite varied ph readings.

Water is fine. I'm surprised they are just using DI, that is a very expensive option unless the source water is very low tds to begin with.

Thanks a lot everyone for your input, I thought it was ok to use it but wanted to make sure.
Thanks a lot again.

Not sure about the source having low TDS we have to replace the DI mixed beds twice per week but the products sizes range from 400 lbs to 24,000 pounds.
Here’s a picture of the DI mixed bed canisters.

It is so convenient to fill up a 5 gal bucket in about 1 minute at work than about 1 1/2 hours at home.

I can only imagine how convenient that is to fill a bucket that quick (other than having to drag the 5 gallon bucket home!). You may want to consider a water jug instead of a 5 gallon bucket for ease of travel - they are sold at most pool stores.

You know someone is now looking into the cost of installing one of those in their home.
