Rodi waste water amount

Just got the aqua barracuda rodi system but it seems to produce a lot of waste water. I know this is pretty normal but are there other systems that have less waste water? Or are they typically about the same?

I have the aquaticlife system, mine produces like 3times more waste than clean.

I always thought these systems produced <1 gallon of pure water for every 10 gallon of tap water.

You should get 1 gallon of good water out of 4. I have the Barracuda as well. As long as things have not changed since I bought my unit a few years back.

I have BRS rodi system and it produces a lot more wastewater.
