What do ya use it for n how do ya plumb it. Do you need storage tank for waste water or plumb back into plumbing

Big Steve

I use it to water plants around the house. I just have it drain into a 5 gallon bucket. It's kinda annoying because I have to keep an eye on it and it would over flow once and a while flooding the garage. The wife was less than understanding..haha

It definitely doesnt hurt to save that valuable H2O for cleaning tank equipment, as well as for various and sundry household uses. In fact, I'm pretty sure that a certain LFS just around the corner sazves it in 5 gallon jugs and then sells it as phosphate-enriched RO/DI water....

i do the same thing .. let it drain into a 5 gallon bucket and water my plants around the house .. wash the car .. its waste water .. but my roses and other plants are doing great ..

HAHA. No doubt!

I send it down the drain so it gets recycled at the local treatment plant and used again.
Its not really that much water when you think about it, you send 10x that much down the drain every day flushing the toilet ot taking a shower.

I run it into a 5 gallon bucket, pour it into the washer onto a load of clothes and let the washer add another gallon or so to reach the right level for the wash cycle. Makes me feel like I'm not wasting the water but it is not much. My RO/DI is in the basement so the collection bucket sits right next to the floor drain and any spillage goes down to the sump pump.
