RODI water line connection

First off, hello! Been a long time lurker and have recently made the dive into reef aquariums. Searched forums and could not locate an answer, so figured I would ask here.

is anyone familiar with the shut off valve posted below? Noticed it had a removable brass nut which blocks water from flowing out. Could I somehow attach RODI to this location or would I have to run a dedicated line? Thank you.

That’s just a bleeder line used to get water out of the lines in the winter after shutting off the valve to avoid a frozen pipe. I don’t think you would want to try to use that or hook up to it as an output.

No. Don't use anything that allows the purified water to contact any metal except stainless steel. There are many readily available solutions.
