Can RO water "go bad"? Using my RO buddie I filled a large tote with water. Checked with my TDs meter and got zero. After about 2 weeks I made some more and I checked it and I'm now sitting at 18. So I know I'll have to replace the cartridges. I have half a jug of the first batch I made and tested it for whatever reason and it came out with 45. How could this be when it was first tested it came out 0 but after sitting in the jug it's gone up?

It sounds like your tote may be leaking something into the water. Pure water doesn’t get expired or ‘unpure’.
I considered this also. Same idea as keeping a water bottle in a vehicle on a sunny day I imagine. Next time I make ro water I'll keep my jugs in the closet with the door closed.

Do you know if the totes you are working with are food grade? Some plastics tend to slowly breakdown and can raise your TDS that way too.

Walmart special lol certainly not food grade. The jugs I transfer everything into I figured would have been because I bought them from my LFS.

Dust, Air, seems normal to me.
Day 1 for me is 0......day 7 is 18...........day 14......30....
I make it, mix it and use it which fixes that issue.
