Rodi water storage

Hello. I'm in the process of a move and want to take the opportunity to update my rodi water storage. I'm currently using 2 55g blue barrels but I had to cut an opening on the top to put the bulkhead in. This has caused some unwanted stuff to get into my clean water. Has anyone used a chem-tainer storage tank? Like this one

I have seen something similar to this tank. Look like the tank will work. I would suggest adding a water level tube for reference

I was thinking the same thing using 1/2 clear hose with a 90* fitting on the top and bottom.
