Rodi water TDS reading dilemma

I’m sure many of you guys have pre-made your RODI in advance. When I make my rodi water, the tds reads 0. Once I store it in a sealed bucket for a week, the tds meter then reads it as 8ppm. Is that normal? Can I still use the rodi water in the bucket?

Yes, that is normal. 0 tds water has a propensity to pull stuff out of the air like dust and other pollutants that will slightly increase the tds. Shouldn’t be an issue at all for you.

Tds rises from salty dust getting in, CO2 from the air dissolving in, and any slight residuals if other things that might be there. I would not worry about it.
