I have very high tap water tds [590] After changing out filters a month ago my tds Is already reading 24 ppm. What is the acceptable range ? What can I do to make these filters last longer. This will get expensive quick at this rate.

What are your three TDS readings, tap water, RO only and RO/DI?
What filters did you replace and what did you replace them with?
How fresh is your DI and if you buy bulk was it sealed and stored properly to maintain freshness?
What RO membrane do you have and how old is it?
What is your water pressure, water temperature and your exact measured waste ratio?

Acceptable RO/DI TDS is 0, acceptable RO only TDS with your tap TDS of 590 is 11-12 but it can easily be much better than that. My tap TDS is 560 and my RO only TDS is between 2 and 3 and DI stays at 0 for over a year per cartridge.
