RODI Water

Question- when having RODI water on hand, is it safe to just have in clean buckets with lids sitting still or does the water need to have any type of circulation?

I just store mine with lids on.

I usually have mine sitting in a brute can, circulating and heating the water so I have it ready for top off or water changes and so its not cold.

My RO Buddie just arrived today.. Flushing the RO membrane.. I'm new to the hobby and have .25 ammonia..I was an idiot and used tap water when I set it up a few weeks ago. My question is.. Should I use the DI cartridge now?.. Or wait until my ammonia levels drop?

Thanks
Geo

I'd recommend using it, your gonna want the water your making to be as nice (put simply) as possible before you make your batch of saltwater, it'll help Lower the TDS and keep potentially harmful (probably not though for the most part after the first stages) substances out of the water.

Thanks J,I'll slap it on.I was just wondering because all of the partials I guess I'm in for with Ammonia.
Ammonia has been steady at .25 last 4 days..I just did not wanna start partial changes with tap water.

Thanks,
Geo
