its fine but you generally won't get 50gpd. I think optimal RODI performance is around 74 degree water. Most people run it off cold water so its nowhere close to that. So don't expect 50g per day. I replaced a 50gpd RODI with a larger one since it was only pushing out 25-30 per day.
The way my water is connected to my tank, I only need about one to two gallons a day, so that would be ok.
How about quality of product water? Is it comparable to brs or spectrapure?
Never heard of them and you do get what you pay for. I am guessing the low cost is due to lower quality filters and membrane. The canisters ect are pretty standard and any brand will do. A good RODI really comes down to the filters used, and water pressure. Get a Spectrapure Maxspec 90gpd RODI, super high quality all around. I have one and its from 1997 and still going strong.
You need an unit with a pressure gauge too.Is there a huge difference between spectra and brs? They both look similar
And also, 5 or 6 stage? I hear 6 is overkill in most cases.. I'm on a well with a fair amount of sediment
There is a huge difference between this and SpectraPure.
1) SpectraPure uses high-grade resin(s) in their system (dual or single DI)
2) this does not have a TDS meter or pressure gauge so you're kinda in the air and guessing when to change filters, membrane and DI.
3) Optimal temp is 77* - 250TDS - 60 PSI. Depending on where you live, you may not get 75GPD.
I'll be more than happy to get you up and running with a full system - better filtration and TDS meter + pressure gauge. I'd rather lose some money and let you have a superior system than have you buy that system
No problem! If anything changes let me know, I'd be more than happy to help you out.I appreciate the kindness! I don't think that'll be necessary though. I just didn't want to spend money for no reason. Again, thank you anyway.
