RODI

Ok so I can’t thank everyone enough here but all of this info leads me one more direction. Once I have the system how do I know to replace the cartridges is it from the tds meter?
There are couple of factors... even if you don't get a BRS system they still have great videos on RODI watch this one for knowing when to replace the cartridges. I spent a lot of time researching before I jumped in. In the long run though this has saved me trips to the LFS and some dollars :)

instructions are usually on the cartridges , its usually 6 months or set number of gallons, for the di resin filter its whenever the resin changes color, or use tds meter . should always be outputting 0. they are cheap n easy to find.

I use rodi buddie for my 29gallon, I was thinking about getting a 60 cube in the future - will use the same rodi system.

The big thing for me is I can control the quality of my own water. Like I said before if you wand it done right do it your self. But dam there is a lot of info on RODI systems out there and each one says something a little different.

FYI guys - we are fully stocked and staffed. We build our RO and RODI systems right in our shop rather than import systems pre-built in Asia. What can we do for you?

Dont go cheap and easy! Look at a unit that suites your budget, features, and needs. I went with SpectraPure because of the TDS meter, pressure gauge, and auto shut off. plus their filtration is unmatched

Going cheap is the worst thing to do in this hobby. Having good water is super important, especially if you want to go acro dominant one day. Having a good RO membrane, and a great RO/DI unit is a game changer. Your corals will love the fresh water. Trust me!
