I picked up a pack at MACNA and my fish really go nuts for these. It isn't greasy or oily at all. Nice whole eggs. They said don't feed it often because the fish get spoiled on it. I haven't been able to find any for sale. Anyone else use this food? What are your experiences with it? I haven't found any for sale either so does anyone know where to buy it?

Do the eggs float or sink when in water? I am very interested in Rods products (shipping is killer tho!).

I'm wondering if they are comparable in size to capelin eggs (masago)?

Haven't tried the fish eggs, but I am just a few minutes away from where Rods is produced, so all the LFS's stock it here - I feed the Rods Reef original blend and the fish/coral seem to love it. It's a shame it isn't more readily available, but I suppose shipping frozen ground up seafood is a nightmare :)

Not sure if they sink or float since I don't turn off my pumps when feeding. I'll find out if no one else chimes in and let you know. They seem to stay in the water column longer than mysis since they don't get caught in the rocks as easily. I noticed my Acans snagging some of them easily which they don't do with mysis and other frozen foods.

I have tried the H2oLife reef caviar and my LPS (acans, chalices etc) and gorgonias love them. These sink by the way and are easy to spot feed with. I will have try to find these locally and try them out.

I used these recently to get a picky bubble tip anemone to eat. Since it started eating the Rod's fish eggs it now takes PE mysis when I feed the fish.

Still haven't found them for sale anywhere.

The only place I've found them is through my LFS. Great food; especially useful in QT getting new fish to eat.

It isn't listed on Rod's website, though my LFS had some the other day -- could just have been extras.
Might actually go back to that LFS and pick up what they have.

Good news! I can get an order from rods there need to be at least 24 pack of items. They do have eggs. 20 dollar shipping too.
