Ok I am starting to use Rod's food, original blend, for my fish and it says not to rinse, but it looks dirty to me. I understand that the rotifers are orange/red in color, but it still just looks dirty to me so i still rinse it. Does anybody have any experience with Rod's? I am just curious if i should keep rinsing or am i rinsing away precious nutrients?

Rod's has a ton of small particles in it. #1 reason I stopped using it. Lots of waste!
If you can get it, give Reef Frenzy a try. IMO and IME the best Frozen fish/coral food on the market today! Cleanest food ever and NO waste! Just google and read the reviews :)

Plus one on the reef frenzy I have been using it for about a week. It is a awesome food I used rods didn't like it at all. . I swapped to Rogers foods a few months back. It was a real good food. But this reef frenzy is the cleanest food I have used.

Interesting, what you dislike about Rod's food I actually like! I can feed the fish and the corals at the same time since there are particles of various sizes, some larger for the fish and some smaller for most corals and other filter feeders. I've been using Rod's for over two years with excellent results.

Having said that, Reef Frenzy always gets rave reviews, so that's a great choice, too.
