Please help. How can I catch this shrimp. I added about 5 to take care of aptasia and they did great. I don’t see any anymore. I also added a few emerald crabs for some bubble algae. The larger branching monti had died off but was making a comeback and was getting healthier everyday. Within a week of adding the shrimp it was gone. Bone white. A week later he moved on to the smaller one and now that is almost totally gone. What can I do to protect what’s left and how can I catch the shrimp that’s causing the damage?

A net with food. Scoop him up. Aquamedic trap works wonders. You can drain the entire tank and fill it back up quickly. I used the tank drain method to catch an uncatchable fish. Just have everything planned out perfectly if you do the tank drain method. If done right and your tank size it can be done in under 10mins.

Drain the tank? That seems a bit drastic. I think the stress that would cause to my Nem, fish and other inverts might be a little much. I’ll have to try the net with food in it.

Google bottle trap. Its hard to explain but once you see one it will make perfect sense. It will work in minutes.
