Whole new sump design in progress, a 48 inch long by 18 inch wide by 15 inch tall. The new sump will have the automatic roller filter built in with a new motor and a float switch. The filter material is washable and reuseable , Pics of progress and design are coming soon

He had a stroke, and went for surgery. Hopefully he's fine, but no updates since he was supposed to have said surgery. Fingers crossed.

I've been researching filter rollers for a few months and considering one on a new tank build.
A few things stood out to me:
1. The head gent of BRS says they are "his favorite piece of equipment" in one of his videos, and
2. Reed Dork (YouTube channel) also says they are absolutely amazing.
3. The online reviews from people who have purchased quality models (e.g., Bubble Magnus, ClariSea) are outstanding.
I find NO evidence to indicate they harm a reef tank. I would certainly welcome all data though in our pursuit of knowledge and scientific merit.
