So I’m reaching out to any of my reefing friends that use either Clarisea, Bubblemagnus or AquaMaxx Rollermats. Has anyone plumbed one outside of your sump or is it even possible? I have the Eshopps ADV-300 sump and the compartment for the filter socks isn’t wide enough and I really don’t want to cut out the refugium if I don’t have to. It would totally take away the intended flow pattern of the sump. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Those are all designed to run in sump I believe. Theiling roller mat could possibly be mounted to the side of the sump, you would have to drill holes in the side of the sump and mount it with the bulkheads. Trigger systems had a sump design that utilized the theiling roller mat on the outside

You can see in the photo, the side view, you could essentially duplicate the holes in your sump and mount the rollermat

Yeah I saw those they look nice. Unfortunately this sump I have is brand new also and everything is already plumbed up. It’s ok I ordered the Theiling rollermat and an just making its own shelf next to the sump for it to take over as the main line drains into it. Thanks for the idea!
