No issue with this seller, I misinterpreted information and relied on a google search for answers.

You are mistaken my friend. That is a gen 3 light. Gen 2 lights have the touch buttons and the gen 3 and 4 has the buttons that you can push in . If it were a gen 2 upgrade it would still have the older style touch buttons that the gen 1 and 2 came out with. The ecotech upgrade doesn’t include the changing of the buttons and casing as well. what was sold to you is a Gen3 Pro radion. The first pic is a gen 3 which is the chassis change from gen 2 as well as optics change and the second pic is what the gen 2 looks like when upgraded. Then gen 2 upgrade will always have their same looks with the exception of you can change the faceplate where the led’s are and then the serial number as well wouldn’t be present as well but the backside where the buttons are would remain the same. As far as the box goes it was a gen 3 box as well and it was an incorrect box instead of s pro box. They look the same with the exception of the word pro. I had gen 3 lights That I had sold and mistakenly put them in the wrong box. If I were trying to mislead you in any way I would have just packed the lights in bubble wrap without the box and sent them that way.

I’m not saying you where intentionally dishonest you may even be correct however when I did the calibration as the light was dimmer than my other 3. I noticed the calibration Screen was different, which was when I also noticed bootloader version 1.1 and OS version 1.7.6. A google search showed a gen2 upgrade. While it is functionally the same it’s still not appearing to be a Gen3 as discussed but s Gen2 with a new case which is why it looks brand new.
I have not asked for a refund or said anything negative or been rude. I’ve simply said nothing other than it appears to be a gen2 upgrade sold as a Gen3.

I’ll add that @roman1 has contacted me by phone he acquired the lights used.
I think this may just be an honest mistake or Ecotech used older parts on a newer build and the mistake is my assumption based on google search.

Here is an example that my new gen 4 pro I received Monday from brs has the same boot loader as a different gen 3 pro radion I had installed on my reeflink. They are still using the same operating system even though then gen 4 was supposed to be completely reworked.
