Ron Reefman's Rock Flower experience

It's beautiful!

Just curious. I have two RFAs in my tank so far. Bought them bout 2 weeks apart. The newer one loved his spot then after 2 weeks started losing his skirt and color, I started doing weekly water changes then went out of town for 3 days while a friend watched my tank. Came back to his skirt grown about 50% back. Now its 100% back but still loss of color tho. Anyone know what happened to him? Was he on his way out then came back? Do they shed at all? Infection? Or what? It had a brown flesh like film at the bottom of its base, that's now gone I chocked it up to dead flesh from the skirt. The other one never did that. Just curious. It seems to be doing great now.

I wish I could tell you what happened, but I really don't have any good ideas. Honesty is better than BS, right?

If your water was OK before you started doing water changes, they probably were not the reason for the recovery. How did you come by the first one (LFS, online delivery, friend)? I've collected my share of the shallow water 'basic' RFA's and I've never had any issues transporting them home from the Keys, but that's just a 5-6 hour ride with a bubbler in an air conditioned car! My gut feeling is that yours had a injury to it's foot which is extremely sensitive and prone to infection if damaged. But that's just a WAG (Wild butt Guess).

I hope it continues to recover and does great for you.

Each one is from a different LFS, his foot looked fine before adding him, maybe a little red or irritated. Hes about 90% back to normal now. His skirts a tiny but shorter then before but its healed completely around the guy. Not sure what happened with him.

I just purchased my first 3 from Salt Critters. I like that they provide 2 pictures on the site, one with blue lights and one without. So you get to see what they look like under both. Will post pictures when I get them.
How was your experience with salt critters? I did a quick browse on their sight and love the prices. But wanted to know some feedback before I made a order.

KP Aquatics has nice RFAs. I have bought from them several times for fish and other inverts.

Idk why it blanked it out but I was trying to say salt critters

I've heard good things about them on other forums and here but have not personally ordered. I do like the fact than they post a pic of there nems under white and blue light.
All I find are bad reveiws but years old tho.

Great experience! I would not hesitate to buy from them.

I looked at the site as well and I'm impressed with the blue & white light photos, very good prices and low shipping cost.

You're tempting me one more time to try for a female. What are the odds if I get two more.....let's see it's 75% isn't it? Then again the odds of having 5 males is like 0.032% isn't it?:D.........................:(
