I run ati 8x80 t5s, cal is 430 to 450, alk is 8.5 to 9 ish. temp is 76 I feed oyster feast every night. as for secrets I don't really have any lol. I'm a believer in just a simple system. I don't run a fuge, its just a bare water sump with a skimmer and gfo and carbon. no macro. no controllers. lots of live rock and lots of flow.

Truly Beautiful!

Ok, so after obsessing about my pale SPS under Kessils (6xA360WE on a 125g), and tweaking all my numbers ad nauseum, waiting (the most important part) and still not getting the results I want, I am convinced that T5 might be what I need. I see your bulb combo is 'all ATI currently 5 blue plus, 2 purple plus and 1 aquablue special.'. So im interested in the ATI Sunpower as well.... I see the fixture has 2 separate power cords, so with my Apex I can set that up; it's more the bulb combo that I am wondering about. Couple of questions for you:

1) Are the Blue+ used as actinics for dusk/dawn on your setup
2) On the fixture, what 2 bulb positions are wired for dusk/dawn? Positions 1 and 8? 2 and 7? etc.... Having a hard time finding anything about this online.

Thanks in advance for your time!

I have a ATI Sunpower 8x80 and i think it has two separate channels, on mine i can make two bulbs light up only which are positions 3 & 6 and then the other channel controls 1,2,4,5,7 & 8 I hope this helps BOMPH. Trinity, I would like to know how high you keep your fixture from the water line, i have mine at 13" and it seems to be bleaching my corals.

Thats exactly what I was asking for, Thanks!!!!

Good morning Ron,...hey could you name the/some of the individual corals that you have pictured on the first page. I would like to track some of them down if I can. I seen you posted that you bought some from Adam at Battle. Thanks in advance,---Rick

good morning rick! I will go through and name them for you somehow lol. I probably should have done that when I uploaded them. I apologize

Some serious fire in there Ron. I need to make the drive out next time i'm in Washington.

If someone could ID this species I would be impressed. Seems no one I ask knows and I have a few pieces of it myself.

I have talked to steve tyree about this piece. even he was unsure of species. I have another one that's even a little more crazier than that one.
