Hello everyone, please let me know what you think of my first attempt so far. It will be going into a red sea 750xxl. This is the pallet tgat it came on, the tallest section is 20 inches. Im a complete newbie, so please be gentle but honest!!! Thanks

Looks good! Aquascape will dramatically change once corals go in and start growing. You have some nice spots where you can have many different types or corals. Keep it clean and simple and add as the tank matures if needed. Many starters add to much rock at first and the tank looks cluttered.

Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate the feedback. For me this is the hardest part, as I wanted nice hiding shots, balance, cleanliness, and spots for frags. That was my goal when I started. I love your fish room and refugium by the way!

Im really not sure yet!!! I like hammers, sps, some softies but I love mushrooms and acros. I also like bubble tip anemones, carpet anemones, and plan to probably have a clam eventually! I like movement and colors. Thanks, it's a beautiful tank, you really don't appreciate and understand the size until you get it into place.

I’ve found that my rookie mistake was building the aquascape too tall. Not much room for corals to grow, for fish to swim, and creates too much shadowing and harder to create gyre in the tank.

Whatever corals you’re gonna grow, think it’ll be 10-12” from the top of your coral once you get big SPS or lps colonies. And even softies like a toadstool will need that much if you grow them out.

If you’re planning on clove polyps, like Xenia or anthelias, they’re awesome but grows like a weed. So if you plan for them, have small islands for them to grow or place on a lower pile at the peak since they tend to grow upwards.

I think it looks good. The things to watch for IMO are:

1. Are there caves for fish to swim thru and water to flow thru?
2. Can you get a cleaner magnet of whatever you choose to use on all three sides and the back?
3. Are there a few sand areas where you can place lower light corals or clams (if you want them).

I would recommend using some 2 part epoxy to "glue" the rock together to limit the risk of a rockslide

Looks great! Keep us posted on how it goes.

Thank you guys for all your awesome feedback so far, it is truly appreciated. Ive reaf some guys on here use, jb water weld. Have any of you used it or had luck with it, and how long does it take to set up. Thanks

I'd use Seachem bond or Marco cement. Both work great. Scape looks great.
