Rookie Chemitry HELP!

Fragbox is solid IMO I’ve gotten lots from them. Never had a doa or anything die from them. Should ask them about dosing too maybe they have some different insight about it.

So, to answer your original post, I would stick with your tank params, with maybe wanting to raise Mag a bit to 1350, and Alk a bit to 7.7 or so.

If Alk drops below 7.0 Mag will become unreadable IMO

I just buy redsea tests and use redsea 2 part..makes it simple even if it costs a few bucks more, I will most definitely mix my own when I go to a bigger tank though.
Thanks everyone for the late night banter. Im sure I will obsess about this more in my sleep lol pleasent dreams!

I'm learning. Companies thrive on people like me lol
There is nothing wrong with that, it's just good know that there are other options in the future. KISS, or "Keep it simple stupid" is what I go by. Get your levels straightened out and get comfortable then see if you want to save a buck.

Also, the product I was referring to can be found under a different name at farm supply stores up your way.

Ok I should go, I think I hurt Greg's feelings

I haven't tested MG yet. I'm gonna buy a test kit and test everything again after a weekly water change before I dose anything.

Thanks everyone!! It's been rad.
