So, I just cleaned my new skimmer collection cup out for the first time since it started breaking in. It's been running for about two weeks and has been skimming pretty dry, and building up a nice two inches of dark skimmate in the cup. Decided it would be ok to dump it out and clean it in the bathroom right off the livingroom... Not so much... It smells so bad and my wife is livid! [emoji23][emoji23]
Oh well, I now know better for next time.

Oh yea, stinky stuff for sure. I turn on the garbage disposal, open the kitchen window, squirt some soap in the drain (the soap in garbage disposal make a tun of bubbles come out of the drain) and empty the cup in the drain with as little movement as possible. I'm usually able to keep it from stinking up the place that way.

I have a utility sink in the laundry room, I may try that first. It has an exhaust fan in there too, so it may help. I will try the soap thing too, thanks!
