Hey guys,

So I set up my first quarantine tank and am planning on putting in a a pair of clowns tomorrow after work. My question is I have a little bit of salt on the bottom of the tank that hasn’t fully dissolved. Should I be worried about this or should I try to suck it out? Not sure whether or not it will effect the fish in any way?

Thanks!

Point that powerhead at the bottom. I helped my buddy set up a 210 gal. We poured the salt In the tank and pulled both of his mp40s to the bottom and 95% of the salt was dissolved in about 2.5 hours.

I usually premix my saltwater in a bucket with a powerhead and heater as well as a wooden spoon occasionally.

I always mix my salt in a separate bin but sometimes there’s just a few small patches that don’t dissolve fully and they made their way into the qt, I’m also using IO. Thanks for the suggestions guys!
