Rookie with a Biocube 29. Hello!

I've got an old oceanic biocube 14 that I use as an emergency QT/hospital if my larger QT is already occupied. It's so easy to set up and take down that I just can't part with it. Got it as my first salt tank back in 2010.
It was briefly used as a freshwater tank early last year before I quickly got bored with it and had to go back to salt. Since then I've got my 120 up and running and haven't looked back.
First pick is my biocube when it was set up as freshwater early last year. And my youngest daughter checking it out!

How are your tank temperatures with the stock lights? It was a question I was wondering. Coming from freshwater I know that lights have a good effect on temps and reefs are more sensitive.

Mine are fine. I do have more evap than expected though.

Welcome to R2R...it's a great place, and you'll learn a ton for sure! The bioCubes are great. I would say your number one top priority is an ATO system (Auto top off), as with these smaller tanks, it's of high importance to keep the saility on point and stable. After that, sky really is the limit as to what you do or don't do.

Enjoy the ride...it's a fun one!

I absolutely love what you have done with your Biocube. It is basically everything I want to do with mine. Thank you so much for posting your reefing journey with your Biocube. Amazing pictures too.
