Hello all..I have had my biocube for a year now. I have found humor that the past tanks I've had, which were fresh water, didn't even last past 2 months....I have found much joy in trying to maintain a saltwater tank. It's a daily learning process at times.
We recently moved the tank to another residence and things have been kind of unstable. I did lose some creatures prior to a loose change incident. I am confident to say they were taken out by glass anemones, now exterminated. The loose change which included pennies have been removed for about a month, but I am still losing some fish and now I am reluctant to add more. Steps taken after contamination was a 95% water change and carbon was added. The fish that were left looked healthy, until one showed the same symptoms and died. Symptoms were the fish dulled as the scales seem to flake off...not sure if I still have lingering contaminates. I can not find anymore change. I am baffled now and would like to keep the last 2 fish and add more once I can resolve this problem. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

trom,
Welcome to Reef 2 Reef and hope you feel at home.

I'm with @trevormass7
Make sure you've got all the lose change out and I'd check my ammonia and nitrites to make sure my reef did not reboot the nitrogen cycle.

You can also send a test sample to Triton Labs to check all of your water parameters.

Sorry for your losses.

Regards, GoVols

Thanks for the input. I can get the tests done locally. Last test ran, had acceptable levels. I need to perform a water change soon after I dose my last glass anemone which is being quite difficult to eradicate.

If you keep having die off's then I believe Triton test for heavy metals.

If you get a big outbreak of the anemones.
Then feel free to click my link below and start reading at post #44 to the end. (lol) you can skip over the jibbed jabber.
Had an outbreak in 2012 and this year. Used the same method that came to same great results.
