I have a nano reef tank 29 gallons. About four months ago I got a gorgeous Rose anemone. It was thriving but this week it is drooping and looks terrible.Water quality is good all tested well. Long established tank. The anemone was looking so good and now it is drooping and I don’t know what to do.

It attached itself to a rock near one covered with mushrooms. There is very limited waterflow where it has chosen to love. Should I move it to the front of the tank where there is more light and water flow?

Doesn't look great, but at least the foot is still attached, that's a plus.

I personally wouldn't try to move it. You could change flow and maybe it will move on it's own, or perk up, but I tried to move my first ever anemone like 12 years ago and just made everything worse. It died and was acting similiar to yours, hanging upside down on a rock and not getting light. I didn't even get to actually move it because the foot just wouldn't let go.

I will say, where it's at on that rock looks like it would be on the easier end to release. But I'd still be reluctant.

My current anemone have been fine almost the entire time, and even when the tank has lower flow(I let algae grow and it slows down powerhead) they still perk up and grab the light. So I don't believe the low flow is a cause.

The anemone looks in a good shape from what I can see. don't move it, it will eventually move on its own to the spot it likes.

The anenome used to look like this.
I was thinking of moving the rock where it’s attached to the front of the tank, not remove it from its rock. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
