Hi guys...
How often and what do you guys feed for anemone? ?

I used to feed mine monthly or twice monthly.

Brine shrimp? Yes they will eat that. Mine prefers shrimp and krill though.

I feed my BTA raw shrimp and fish from the grocery store. I feed that to my Haddoni as well.

Usually any white fish, cod, sea bass, flounder, always a SW fish. My anemones were fairly large so 1/4 inch piece only. The more you feed a healthy anemone the faster they grow. Personally I did not want my BTAs splitting every couple months or getting to be the size of large dinner plates. With a tank devoted to anemones that is fine, in mixed reefs with sps and other more sensitive corals it can become a real estate issue.

Thanks....
I will be getting sliver side fish tomorrow

I do not like silver sides FWIW. I had more problems with silver sides then anything else, even raw scallops are better. My anemones frequently expelled pieces of undigested silver sides. I do not believe in feeding anemones weekly either. In the wild an anemone is lucky enough to catch and eat a fish only occasionally, clowns chase away any potential intruders.

Here are my anemones. I do not keep BTA's any longer because I do not have enough room for them.

Wow seems like u got lots of anemones..... I guess Mysis or brine shrimp would be fine

Brine unless gut loaded has limited nutritional value, think of it as potato chips for fish, Mysis is a better choice.

Silversides are very fatty and oily, they aren't the ideal food. Any piece left in your tank will foul the water quickly. Do not feed it often, once a week tops. If you feed it more, they bleach and become pink. This is because they stop relying on their zooxanthellae and it dies off, because the nem will stop undergoing as much photosynthesis.

I haven't directly fed any of my current (( 2 S. haddonis )), in at least the 3 years for one, and about a 1 for the other (( since I have had it )). My last E. quadricolors (( sold them when I took down that tank )), were never directly fed in my care.

If you do choose to feed your E. quadricolor, I would use mysis shrimp, and nothing bigger. They don't eat anything larger than in the wild.

In 13 years I have never spot fed mine anything special other than what the rest of the tank eats. They get plenty from the clowns bringing it to them.

The frozen prawns and cuttlefish are good, but you should put it with an amino acid and open.
