I am new to this forum so not 100% sure if I'm in the correct area but I have a 20 gallon long reef tank with zoos acans hammers leathers and 2 clowns and a 6 line and have 2 kessils 150 ocean blue for light a 10 gallon sump running chato in also with a aquaeurousa 55 and a regular filter for the back of tank that hangs on just for carbon and stuff plan on getting media reactor soon not sure yet though but anywho was wondering if i could get a rbta in my tank or will it just create a destructive path and or die

The biggest problem I think you will have is out getting caught in your filter. I had a great rbta about 12 years ago that got caught in my hob filter so many times it died. It was about a 50% chance it would be sucked up into the filter every day.

Hmmm didnt even think about that to much :/ maybe I could put a sponge around the nozzle since I'm only using it for media not a filter should change much but then again what about my overflow box inside my tank?

You can get fine point mesh to put over the intake. Or you can easily model a cover using aquarium foam, but you do not want the foam to be densly packed. You can use panty hose mesh but watch for clogging.

Well I did the plunge and got one its looking good but it keeps going under the rocks and hiding its been in there for 2 days first day went straight under the rocks second day i moved it and it went straight back under the rocks again Lol is this normal? Is it just acclimating? I got it from my lfs and it was in a pretty dirty tank and the lighting was from a dirtier older looking t5 model and is now in my 20 gallon long with 2 kessils 150 ocean blue

You should leave it alone, it will move to where it wants to be
