I recently aquired 5-6 polyps of rose nebulas but they are only opening about 60% each day.

Does anyone have any experience with them? Do they like more or less light? Moderate or little flow? etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Brandon

This isnt going to help you much.....but I picked up a 6 or 7 p[olyp frag of them a while back........shipping was delayed a day and they came in looking rough.

They popped out of it, grew to ten in less than a month and then did the meltdown and die thing on me shortly thereafter. LOL

I guess I forgot to add that I killed them on the floor of a high light tank with moderate to high flow.....since you asked :)

I personally have a nice colony of them of about 50 or so polyps. IME they like lower light to get that nice nebula look. They can tolerate a high light situation but they will be all pink with a green mouth. They like moderate flow. As they are new I would give them time to settle in.

I seriously hate them. I'm sure they hate me too. I tried about 4 different frags, all from different "lineage" and 3 of them have melted away on me so far. I do have a bigger mini colony flourishing in one particular spot of my tank. I think Mucho called this the "Sweet Spot." Every time I move them, they seem to do the whole "wilting" thing before the meltdown.

I have a couple hundred in my tank. The have grown bigger than a softball. The bottom ones (lower light) definitely have more of a "speckled" look, but when they get blasted with light they turn a brighter pink and get larger.

i have mine under 2 250 hqi with t5s for supplement. moderate flow and are doing fine so far. havent grown as fast as fly guys but growing. they are in the frag tank while i set up th enew display. but before the move they were under a 4 bulb t5 tek light on the bottom with moderate flow. heres a pic under the t5s in the frag tank
