I was over at Ross looking at shoes for my toddler when I found these 2L bottles for $5.99. used my kitchen scale to see if the markings we accurate and they were.

Do you know that they are made of? Recycle code may say.

If they are polycarbonate, don't put high pH additives such as limewater (kalkwasser ) in them as they may crack and leak eventually.

Found that out the hard way. I was using 5 gallon water bottles for kalk. Fortunaly when they leaked it was in an unfinished basement.
