Hello, does anyone have experience with setting up a Rossmont Waver controller, POST Rossmont going out of business?? I’ve heard from some who set things up beforehand and are still using it, but I’m trying to set up a Waver and having some real troubles…
I bought two of their 850 pumps and a Waver controller on closeout. The pumps are great and work fine, but I bought them to have CONTROLLABLE AC pumps for UV, and their Waver device is the controllable module. Since they went out of business 2 yrs ago, they no longer offer support and the Waver’s ONLY communication or programmability (as far as I know) is via wifi. No buttons, plugs, etc. Apple has completely removed the Rossmont App from their app store so that’s a non-starter, and the CURRENT Google Apps store doesn’t offer it to download either. You can download a hacked program that runs old googleplay APK apps in “Developer Mode,” and access the Rossmont app from there, but I am having trouble getting it to communicate. I can get the Waver to initially communicate with my computer and connect directly to the Wifi emitted from the Waver, but that seems to be the end of the communications. After “connecting,” it says it can’t find the device and no controls. So, I don’t know what to do…
Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions or experience? Not having a direct plug-in/hardwire option was a HUGE design flaw… Maybe that’s why they went out of business??
