Rotating Rocks

Hey all! This is probably a really dumb question, but here goes...

I put down my rocks first (flat based Caribsea Shapes) and then about one inch of sand. Is it ok to rotate the rock structures in order to place and frag coral, then rotate them back? Or would sand getting under then cause problems (e.g. stress points on the glass or general instability of the structures?)

It should be fine. Stability would be the main concern if any. Always better to be right on the glass or deep in some sand. It's that in between you want to avoid where it can easily blow away and allow a rock to slide or shift.

As you have placed rock first I would not worry.
If you place rocks on sand, the movement of sand underneath the rocks may cause instability issues. If you was to move your rocks around I would ensure they have good point to point contact with solid bottom (glass) you can move sand by waving your fingers to ensure nothing below rock without disturbing the whole sand bed
