I currently rely on fish poo and the ocasional broadcast of reef roids when feeding. I will turn off my return pump and dump in the roids and fish food with my power heads running and let it swirl for about 15 minutes before turning the return back on. I assume that left over Reefroids get sucked up by my skimmer. But I cant help but wonder about my corals that only open at night if they are getting enough food. When feed the reefroids some corals like my favia apear to open a mouth but the sweepers only come out at night. So I was thinking of trying to culture some rotifiers but have lots of questions.
I found this which looks pretty simple to DIY and easy to care for if there are any other systes that are better or easier please chime in.

- Once dosing live rotifiers to a reef wouldnt they continue to multiply on thier own?
- If bi weekly dosing is required how will it affect water quality? Essentially can you over feed?
- How do you know how much to feed?
- Does skimming clear them out?
- those that feed with rotifiers do you feed at night and during the day?
Any other helpful information?
