So a few days back I found a big bag full of Hikari bloodworms. A few packets have been taken out already. This stuff is probably 2 - 3+ years old, and it's gone brown. I'm not sure what it smells like but definitely doesn't have the scent of new worms.

Is it ok to feed these? Trying to get a hawkfish eating right now, it had been eating hikari mysis at the lfs but haven't taken any yet. In contrast, the dang valenciennea goby gobbles these down as viciously as my cleaner wrasse. Got them both yesterday.

Myself, if they potentially thawed I'd chuck them.
aww but there's so much of it....
what's usually the issue regarding rotten food? A lot of the fish I have can be considered scavengers, is it due to bacterial contamination or is the food just no longer nutritious?

Great catfish bait, and I would not eat it but your fish might be thrilled with it?

Hikari sterilizes the meat before it goes into the cube so it probably doesn’t have any botulism on other issues if it did thaw but it probably will stink before it sinks.

I tried a small amount, turns out no one wanted that stuff...
