He’s been in my tank for months and no new fish has been added what is happening

Could be a bacterial infection. Is the white area of the tail a bit red-ish or is that just the camera/lighting?

Important to note that bacterial infections are usually the secondary actor. Something else is the primary cause. Has the fish been QT'd? Treated? Wormed?

Just the camera and the fish has been qt I got him back in December

He doesn’t display any symptoms ever he is eating swimming no acts of aggression
