I purchased a 120g aquarium stand im trying to get level. It has been a NIGHTMARE! I can’t seem to get it level. I am trying to level it on a concrete steel beam floor with carpet. just when I thought I got it level it wobbles when I push it. Any ideas?

Does it have adjustable feet or are you using shims or what? Wobbling would mean you have opposite corners 'high' - like a chair with one short leg. You have to hold it level and figure out which corner is up in the air. Carpet can certainly make it challenging...

I'd start by seeing how unlevel the floor is then move to the stand you'll have an idea of how much you'll have to raise a conor. find the tallest conor and raise the other Conors to compensate

My tank is shimed like that I'm sure some people will complain and moan about it but mines been going strong for 2 years

Major problem is I had to shim behind the stand between the wall and that leaves me little space to work with to get the shims in

Gotta figure out someway to shim it even if it means pulling the tank out each time it's time consuming heck everything in the hobby is a waiting game

True I am going to fill it with water and let it settle. Then attempt it again

Soon as it fills you'll be able to level it just need the water to push down the carpet foam and carpet to see what the final outcome will be

Can I add plywood underneath the stand? To help level????

Yea you could but plywood is usally level as far as all four conors being level with each other you'll still have to add shims

Awesome now I just have to figure out a slight leveling problem on the left side. The level is reading its 3/16 and 1/4 off I placed a shim between the stand and the floor and no luck may need to get bigger shims

I hand cut oak shims for my stand... I had some pine ones in the shop, but was worried they'd compress over time. Leveling a large aquarium can certainly be a challenge, but it's pretty critical that you get it right. On my old tanks, with the plastic rim, as long as it was level 'enough' so that the rim hid the water level all the way around, I didn't worry so much about it. On a rimless open top system? If it's not close to perfect, you're going to see it!

Ok here’s what I got input plz!!!!
