Thanks for infoHelp with the idenitiy of these flatworms, and a remedy for them, tank is loaded with them, is there something that will eat them?![]()
ThanksFlatworm exit will take care of them. Siphon out what you can and have a water change ready in case you have any issues after dosing.
I like that idea, dont want to use chemicals, I also bought a six line wrasse..thanksI just got rid of a bunch of flatworms yesterday! I took 1/4” airline tubing and siphoned through a mesh bag in my sump. This way I could trap the planaria and continue siphoning without worrying about taking out any water. Hopefully by doing this a few times I wont have to add any chemicals to the system. If you do the siphoning I suggest getting a stool because my back was hurting pretty bad after bending over for so long! Good luck!
Thanks, i’ll try the siphoning, giving six line wrasse a chance alsoYep, looks like red planaria. I'm fighting those now. Trying to siphoning out as many as possible before I do the flatworm exit. From what I have read they become toxic when they die.

To help save your back take and zip tie the tubing to a small dowel rod. That way you won’t have to put your arm down in the tank..I like that idea, dont want to use chemicals, I also bought a six line wrasse..thanks
