So I had a goby and pistol shrimp that were bonded. I had them for quite awhile and then one night the goby jumped and unfortunately lost him. I have had a royal gamma in there just as long. Since the pistol has gotten bigger he has became pretty aggressive towards other habitants. For instance he killed my porcelain crabs and used the parts to build entrances into his caves. Almost as a warning to anyone who comes near. So when I woke up this morning, I didn’t see my royal gamma and I immediately was thinking he had been claimed by the pistol. We searched and did find his head in one of the holes. We thought he was dead and the pistol was saving him for lunch later. Lo and behold the sucker came out of the hole and is going in and out of it with the pistol. I’ve never heard of a symbiotic relationship between a pistol and gamma but I imagine it could or has happened. Anyone else experience this? Ps. The pistol runs they tank now. He has caves on every inch of the tank.
