So I got a royal gamma yesterday I acclimated it for about 40 minutes and once he hit the open tank he just layed in the bottom occasionally swimming just slightly until about 2 hours later he was swing around the tank so a few hours later once my usual time to turn lights off he swam up to the top and was just slightly jumpin h up in the water and he went at that ALL night until this morning once I turned my lights on he continued for a few minutes and now is just laying at the bottom and completely ignored food should I get worried?

I’ve had this. Not sure what the cause is.
I run high Alk (11.5dkh) so that may contribute.
May “pop” if oxygen levels too low or ammonia present.
May be reaction to a new environment.
Give some more time to settle and provide update if you can.

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Do you know the specific gravity/salinity of the water it came in versus that our your tank?
