Okay so my LFS just got in a Royal Gramma....I have been looking for another fish to my tank...currently there are only my 2 clowns in there and they are Juvies about 1.5-2inches big....the Gramma is pretty small....

I always QT for about 2 months so will give it some time to grow....

My questions are...

Is this a good choice for my tank with the clown?
Could and will the clowns kill it?
Any advice on introduction?

Tank is a 36g BF
29g sump/Fuge

Stock list.
Corals mainly soft and LPS
2 picasso clowns
Cleaner shrimp
Trochus Snails.

Tank has almost been up a year.

If they're bullied when they go in the tank there's a good chance you'll never ever see them. They can be excellent hiders.....tho in a 36 gallon tank there would be limited locations.

You'll have to ask him if he has plans to use the clown's half of the tank. If he can't answer, then he probably intends to use the whole tank. ;) But seriously he will. So be prepared. :)

A royal gramma will be an excellent addition in that size tank. They are hardy and relatively hardy. It may be shy the first few days, but becomes much bolder the more comfortable it gets.

I have a pair if O Clowns and a Royal Gramma in my Bio-Cube. Clowns were in first for about a month and a half, then introduced the RG. Been together for about two months now and never had an issue. Feeding time gets a little interesting, the RG says "Get the hell outta my way! That's mine!"

And I love his "personality"! He's kinda Bad butt!!

Awesome thanks for the advice guys! I figured it wouldn't be an issue as the research I have done states they are relatively peaceful given the proper hiding spaces...which it should have plenty of!
