Royal Gramma not able to swim

I'm having a similar issue with my royal gramma. It has been going on for over a week now. She stays against the rocks when she tries to swim. She has rough scales from rubbing against the rocks. She's always been a rock dweller. Curious as to what happened to the original posters RG.

Sadly it didn’t get better. I had him in quarantine for 2 weeks and he wasn’t able to swim.
After 2 weeks he passed away while I was at work.
