Hi, I got a gramma today and once i added it to my tank it swam to a corner and just laid down next to my frogspawn. Its been an hour almost and hes just laying there on his side. When I got him he was healthy so Im not sure what is going on.

How old is the tank? Is there any ammonia present? Can you tell us a little more about the tank.

The tank is a little under 2 months. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 10 nitrate. a pair of clownfish and some corals in here are doing very well and its a 20 gal

How is he doing today, still with us? If you haven't had a RG before they are strange little fish, will lay on their side, swim sideways or even upside down and so on. Hopefully he was just acting like a newly introduced RG and is now up and about.

He is doing fantastic thanks for asking. After I turned the lights off he found a cave to sleep in and the next day he is out swimming with my clowns and eating. However, if i get too close to the tank he goes into his hole of behind some rock. Hes slowly starting to recognize me as a source of food though.

Sweet, glad your RG turned out fine! They're a little shy sometimes but after a while he'll be right out front with everyone else.

I added my pair of clown fish and royal gramma to quarantine tank today to treat for ich clown or looking fine but royal gramma hasn’t been moving at all for hours using to treat ich x let me know what to do please.
