trying to pair 2 grammas. Got them set up in quarantine tank with a clear mesh divider so they can see and smell each other. This way I can observe any aggression.

My question is this... How long do I need to observe and feel comfortable that I'm in the clear? Planning to go through a prazi and cupramine treatment so thinking total time in qt will be about a month. Is this long enough to know that they are ok? Can I remove divider sooner?

Today was day one. They seem curious about each other but no displays of aggression.

Fingers crossed. If this doesn't work no pair for me.

Their may be some initial squabbling when the divider is removed, but as long as they are small and both aren't males it will settle down after a day. They may not pr up, but will likely coexist regardless.

Sooo.. the mesh divider that appeared to be working last night failed in one spot so this morning I woke up to both grammas on one side of the divider.

The good news is that they appeared to be sharing the same hidey hole and no aggression was observed. The medium one had gotten into the smaller one's side. The smaller one is definitely more timid than the medium sized one. It rarely comes out of the hidey hole. When I checked before I left for work the medium one had gone back to it's side of the divider.

Should I remove the divider or repair and try to keep separated ... assuming they are both alive when I get home tonight?

If they are coexisting, take the divider out and let them stay together, aggression is worst when first introduced together and generally subsides.
