I have a royal gramma in my frag tank. I also have a 40 with a line spot flasher wrasse and a mc cosker flasher wrasse. I'm probably going to add another flasher wrasse in the 40, maybe a yellowfin flasher wrasse. I know a six line and royal gramma will fight, but what fish will a six line not fight? Will the gramma be a problem with my other wrasse though?

IME sixlines are pretty aggressive and you never know what fish will get attacked by it. It is almost pretty much guaranteed that any wrasse you add with a sixline will not go well. I have added other wrasses when I had my royal gramma and there was a little aggression at first but it only lasted a couple of days.

Yeah, I don't plan to have the six line. I just don't want the gramma to bully the flasher wrasse I have.

The gramma that I had pretty much stayed in his little area. I did add a mcckoskers flasher with him and he showed a little aggression, mostly open mouth gestures and chased it away but after a few days it stopped. Not saying that this would be the case for you because every fish is different but I would say that it is worth a shot.

I have a gramma with a bunch of wrasses, the gramma was in first and never had any problems. The wrasses are fairy, flasher, halichoeres, leptojulis, and xenojulis.

This is one if my favorite pictures of a reef. I'm not sure where it cane from, just something I stumbled across

I have/had a six line and a gramma. The six line is 3x the size. My six line disappeared 3 days after I got him. The gramma is still around but a few days after the six line went Mia the gramma is all beat up. The clowns get along with gramma and so does a scooter blenny. Also Mia is yellow watch man. Gramma is one tough fish!

my gramma pretty much just hid all the time when I added my wrasse. He just chilled in the rock work until it was time to eat. They say a 55 in the min for an H. melanurus but after my fish and his constant pacing I think a 75 would be a better fit.

I have a gramma with a leopard, Carpenter's, and Lubbock's with no issues in my 75.

When I had a gramma in my 37 with a fairy wrasse, he did a little open mouth chasing , but never actually harassed or bit the fairy wrasse - just shooed him away.

Depends on the sixline some don't bother anything and some act possessed I've personally never had a gramma bother anything but it acted like it was the biggest meanest fish ...I second the all bark view though I'm sure some are different

I don't recommend it. I tried to add a fairy wrasse in my 93 cube and my royal gramma continually went into attack mode ( as the great pic above from Pete). This daily harassment eventually stressed my Fairy Wrasse out and it died.

I have a a gramma in with 7 wrasse (faries, flashers and halichoerus), no problems at all. The gramma was the first fish in and is the low man on that totem pole.
