Why can't I keep them? I have PPE's, Nucs, PD's, etc. that do fine. I have tried 3 frags of RPE's from different sources and they close up and never reopen. Parameters below. Thanks.

1.026
DKH 9.5
Temp 79-81
PH 8
Calcium 430
Mag 1400
No Nitrates detected

I would say its just bad luck, your params look good to me. I usually keep my People eaters in low light conditions.

I had a similar string of failures with true armor of gods and finally it worked.

Thanks. I have them about 1/2 way down under 250W Radiums. I will try moving them down more....

If you ask Aloha Corals he'll tell you he has never seen a paly/zoa deeper than 10' which would equate to well over 1000 ppfd.

I have mine near the bottom of my tank. I started off with 6 heads 3 years ago and they just went crazy.

Having seen Darren's tank I'm sure it's not his parameters or setup as his corals are super healthy.

Some types I just have no luck with. Good luck bud.

Mine do fine right on the sandbed. I have dual 250de's and they seem to loveit
