I have had this for a few months and just recently moved it up to higher lighting after letting it adjusted to my tank. I begin to see some colors starting to develop. I will take one photo every other month to document the change and growth :)
If anyone has this monti please share:)

Very nice looking montipora . I noticed a lot of these montipora verrucos, undata or danae...type corals hitting the market. They're pretty cool! They seem to have some type of reflective look to them. Almost like the reflect light differently than others of the same species. Would love to see the mother colony! Nice catch!

It becomes very reflective in high light. Also only one color of yellow.

Recently I saw a colony in low light and believe me the colors were much better. There were more shades of yellow.

I have beach bum , crazy t and altered ego in same tank.
And so far I can see that only altered ego loves higher light.

Crazy t and beach bum look better in low light in my system.

Really? I had mine in mid tank for a few month and it pretty much stay the same. After I talked to Tony he said it loves high lighting and I do see his CrazyT frags are just a couple of inches under water surface with the 8 T5 blasting a few inches above water.....and his frags looks AMAZING!!!

Next time you go snap a pic. I want to see it.

Coz mine turned very bright yellow under high light.

Now I moved it in shade and you can see more colors.

Well last time I was there he already sold all the frags...too bad he offered to swap my frag for his more colorful frag but I didn't come back in time :(

I have this Monti but I cannot figure out how to post a picture from my iPhone. It seems to like lower light.

Looks good purplereef

Thank you D maul. It is on the bottom of my tank. I have had it for 3 weeks now. I think it might be a very slow grower. Tony said he fragged his mother colony 4 months prior to me stopping in and buying my frag of it. So I think it is uncharacteristically a slow grower for a Montipora.

Yes it's a Very slow grower for sure. I had mine lower at mid tank but see no change in color so I moved it higher up per Tony's recommendation.
