I've seen some really sick pics of this piece, but I've also heard that it's very hard to color up. What's the consensus? Worth the price?

It’s worth it if you get the real deal. There are so many Angry bird variants now and everyone assumes they have the USA version. I think Aquasd sells RR Angry birds but when you call they tell you it’s the RR Asia version. It should be blue, green, yellow on the axial corallite with red polyps. If your Angry bird is pink you have the Asia version.

Top shelf aquatics posted a nice picture of theirs yesterday.

I absolutely love mine. I got it from TSA back is September and growing great. I'd think if your running ULN then colors may not be as vibrant.

Is there a difference between this and JF jolt, or TSA rainbow fusion? All three look like the same coral imo.

There are so many tenuis variants out today it's nearly impossible to keep up with them. Among all of the collector pieces, it's a must have. There are many other variants available today that do not have the name recognition that the RRU AB has, and are as equally satisfying or more to behold.

The colony pictured was acquired as a frag directly from the originator at Coral Farmer's Market a few years ago. It is grown under a combo of MHs, LEDs & T5s in a low nutrient system that is manually controlled dosed and fed.

I can say with 100% certainty that the TSA Rainbow Fusion and RRU AB are NOT the same variant. When it comes to distinguishing between the TSA RF and JF Jolt I have wondered the same thing myself.

I've asked TSA about it and they said Rainbow Fusion and Jolt are very similar but they are different corals.
