Hey guys-Does anyone out there have a RedSea skimmer running in their AIO? Ran mine for about an hour tonight and it threw some horrible micro bubbles, even with floss and pad in place as a bubble trap. Any ideas? Tank has been up for 2 or 3 days. Just wanted to see how she worked.
Thanks in advance!

I have been running mine for 7 months. No micro-bubbles at all. Your getting them in the display ? Could be an air leak in the return line.

Yeah I'm getting them in the display. Didnt have them until skimmer came on and didnt have them running only the return. Are you using that giant sponge that the system came with by any chance?

Yes I’m installed exactly as the instructions say to. Are you using the valve ? If so, open it fully to see f the bubbles go away. Your skimmer will turn into a mad dog but you will know. After breakin you won’t need the air valve BTW. You lol be happy to get pic for you if you need.

I would appreciate the picture very much!I appreciate it!

Here is the valve I spoke about. You need it installed at first while the skimmer breaks in (about a week) or it will just overdfill the collection cup

While were at it- how do you have your media rack set up?Floss on bottom, middle carbon, top biomedia?

I have filter pads on the bottom of the rack then carbon. When I put them the other way around the carbon bag would get all gunked up.

Tip is to wrap the drawstring around the bag before putting it in the rack. Mine always got caught otherwise.

I use petco genereric filter pad cut to size. I stack three of them. I need to rinse them off twice a week (more if needed).

That’s about 4 days after my chemiclean treatment.
