Hi R2R,
I've been investigating wavemakers and powerheads for my planned Reefer 250 build and I've heard mixed reviews on both the Ecotech MP40 (too strong for 2x "wave making") and a pair of MP10s (magnets too weak, can be noisy, not enough flow) and was hoping to get all of your professional inputs.
My planned is a mixed reef of some softies, mostly LPS, and maybe trying out some SPS in high light/flow areas. I like the idea of a wavemaker and a powerhead with variable, controllable, and/or programmable settings to avoid dead-spots and low flow areas. Perhaps I could just open it up for discussion and see what all of your opinions on the subject are?
Thanks,
