RS Reefer 350 G1 - re-enforce stand

Hey all, I got a GREAT deal on a reefer 350. I have been told I should re-enforce the stand. Can anyone explain this to me like i’m 5?

What i did for my reefer 350G1 was to laminate an extra layer of wood on top of the stand. The new layer is about 1 inch deeper than the original top. This is to provide support of the front glass pane which is completely unsupported by the stand.

I am not sure if the seam issues people are having is completely related to this lack of support of the front glass pane but my common sense physics says it should be supported if possible. If u measure and cut correctly you can still get that flush look for the stand

Did you put any corner braces on the cabinet?
